How we compare brokers
Every fee, rate and launch date on this site comes from a source we link on the broker's page. We check the broker's own pricing, margin and press pages first. When a broker doesn't publish a figure, we use a reputable third-party review and mark the figure "reported." When we can't confirm a figure at all, we leave it out and say so.
What we compare
- Futures commission per side for Micro E-mini and E-nano contracts, plus any platform or license fee.
- Exchange, NFA and clearing fees charged on top, where the broker lists them.
- Margin interest at $25,000 and $100,000 debit balances, with the date of each rate.
- The default yield on uninvested cash.
- Features: crypto, retirement accounts, fractional shares, trading hours, prediction markets, international access, support and account protection.
- New products and features launched in 2025 and 2026.
The cost ladder
The ladder multiplies each broker's per-side commission by two sides per round trip and by the number of round trips you enter. For brokers with plans, it adds the plan's monthly fee and shows whichever plan costs least at your volume. Exchange and clearing fees are excluded because they vary by contract and are not published consistently.
How often we update
Figures were last checked on October 24, 2026. We recheck after every Federal Reserve rate decision and whenever a broker announces new pricing.
